Sailing School
The goal of the GRSC Sailing School Program is to promote sailing and provide the opportunity to sail on Lake Michigan. Students will participate in at least three interactive classroom lessons taught by experienced sailors. Students will graduate to Monday Night Lite Racing with at least three on the water outings.

April 29, 2024 – 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Classroom sessions will teach sailors the basics of sailing, equipment, weather, safety, and navigation.
On the Water
After completing the classroom sessions, students will get time out on the water for some “lite” racing. You’ll get to experience time on different boats, with different skippers, and get hands-on experience sailing the beautiful waters of Lake Michigan. Our sailing school on-the-water experience takes place every other Monday starting in June and going through to the end of August, so you’ll get multiple opportunites to sail even if you can’t make every Monday night event.
